This project is a real-time game prop inspired by historical Viking warrior equipment.
The goal was to create a believable battlefield-used shield that balances readability and material storytelling.
The wood surface, painted sigil, and worn metal rim were textured to reflect long-term use, weathering, and combat damage. Special attention was given to paint wear, edge damage, and material separation so the asset reads clearly in a real-time environment.
Modeled in Blender and textured in Substance 3D Painter, rendered in Cycles.
